The Webmaster is a virtual volunteer role for Guardian Angels for Soldier’s Pet© responsible for the design, content, upkeep of the organization’s website. The responsibilities can be accomplished from the volunteer’s home, via email and phone communications.

Reports to the National Marketing & Communications Director.


  1. Update and maintain organization’s website as needed
  2. Ensure site is functioning properly and that hosting platform is up-to-date
  3. Generate and revise web pages as needed
  4. Layout content on the website
  5. Examine and analyze site traffic
  6. Regulate and manage access rights of different users on the website
  7. Plan for future changes to the website
  8. Check assigned email address a minimum of 3 times week.
  9. Prepare and submit the monthly “Volunteer Service Hours” to the National Office by the 15th of the month following the reporting month – Example: Prepared report for Jan 2017 – Submit by Feb 15, 2017

Desired Skills:

  1. A passion to help our military service members, veterans, and their beloved pets plus work with other people who share this passion.
  2. Professional, organized, reliable, able to work with a diverse group of people, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  3. 2-3 years of IT experience preferred
  4. Comfortable using and access to MS office (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  5. Familiar with GoDaddy and WordPress.
  6. Good communication skills via phone calls and email.
  7. Excellent writing and editing skills.
  8. Estimated Time: approximately 20 hours per month
